  • Supplies Purchase

I bought a new 2006 Acura TSX and wanted to revamp my towel collection for it. I am planning to buy the following and wanted to ensure these were the recommended purchases (and made sense). Any help is appreciated!

    1 Microfiber Wash Mitt
1 Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel
1 Supreme Shine Microfiber 3 Pack
    2 Soft Buff Terry Towels
1 Soft Touch Microfiber Drying Towel

Here is my thought behind these purchases: The Microfiber Wash Mitt is to wash, obviously. I'll then follow up with the Water Magnet. Then I'd like to have something to get the last drops and give a final once over, so I chose the Soft Touch Drying Towel. I'll use the Supreme Shine towels only for the interior and glass and the Soft Buff Terry Towels for the waxing process.

    My questions are:

    1. Is the Soft Touch a good followup towel to the Water Magnet? Should I be using the Supreme Shine Microfibers instead for this? What is the difference here?

    2. Are 6 of the Soft Buff Terry Towels enough for a day of full car detail (3-Step process, with two coats of polish and wax). I am afraid it is not.

    Thanks.

I do the opposite, I first hit my vehicle quick with the Soft Touch, making sure to hit any standing water and the windows. Then I follow up with the Water Magnet for the final dry.

IMO, you can never have enough towels! 6 would probably cover it but I like to keep plenty on hand, say if you drop one on the ground you have back up towes (don't use it till you wash it and grab another towel). -- I did notice you have Supreme Shines in the list as well they are great for removing wax, and really any other product.

I would get 3 or 4 water magnets.

I do not like the terry towels. I recommend all supreme shines.

              yes.

i'd buy as many Supreme Shine Microfirbre's as possible. these are best for polishing wax etc...

              for drying.

i for now use two water magnets. in summer i'll be using Soft Dry Cloth and then follow with two water magnets.

              cheers

I have 4 water magnets, and 4 Ultra Plush supper terry's.

I would really like to try the Microfiber wash mitt though. Ive been using the ultra plush wash mitt, and I dont like how it leaves behind a bunch of pieces of itself.
