It would seem that if you use an apostrophe, one of these,
,
It cuts off any text typed after it. Try not using an apostrophe and anytime you type up something that's important, copy and past a copy to Notepad before hitting the Submit Reply button so in case it's lost you don't have to retype our message.
For what it's worth, we have discontinued the Cordless polisher as the batteries were not very reliable for holding a charge and because people expected too much from them, they purchased them with the idea of using them like the plug-in model, the G100 to remove swirls but they were too wimpy for this and were pretty much only good for apply a coat of wax, that is spreading out a layer of wax onto paint already in good shape and for this they weren't very good.

hi!
sorry about the apostrophe... did not know that.
my question was if i can change the backing plate to a smaller one? and if so what kind of "connection" does the da polisher use, is it a regular backing plate connection like the one regular rotary buffers use?

Here's the thread we were thinking of, it describes how to work on the cordless but the one picture in the thread is very dark and hard to make out what is being show.
