  • Detailing MINI pillars

After spending considerable time detailing my wife's '06 Cooper S convertible, I noticed significant spider webbing on the front window pillars. I'm really not sure if these are plastic or some other material. In any case, I'm in need of suggested products and procedures for removing the spider webbing.

    TIA,

    Ken Warthen

Richard Lin always polishes these out by machine just like he polishes out the paint, not sure myself if they are plastic or painted, but we're sure he can clarify if he reads this thread.

I've polished out hundreds of MINIs (including my own 2 MINIs) and the A pillars can be polished out using the PC very easily. Just use some M80 and a W8006 pad with the PC on speed 5.

        EXACTLY.

works awesome. Those darn A pillars can swirl up easy if you don't watch them. just a touch of M80 and G100 and you're off to the races.

        let's see some pics.

When I had my Mini I had the same issue. Richard is the man when it comes to the Mini (helped me a few times) so I am sure he is spot on. Pics?

Not sure if you were asking ME for pix or the original poster, but regardless, they all look the same if you don't polish them.
