Re: Colour X and some question.

If one were to skip steps, I believe that getting the paint cleaned well is more important than two coats of wax. I'd use #80 and a wax instead of colorX and a wax. If I wanted a one step wax, it would be colorX.

Re: Colour X and some question.

      my thing is this.

i understand the fact that i can:

      Colour X

      Wash
      Colour X

      or i can.

      wash
      clay
      colour x
      wax

no matter what i do, it'll be THREE STEPS MIN.

i always CLAY. i like that look and feels it enhances the shine as it makes it appear glass like.

make sense? maybe it doesn't. but on my paint. to my eye and a few others, i enjoy that always glass like feel/look and so i always clay. so matter what its three steps.

when i started this thread i just wanted to learn more about the purpose of Colour X and its use. if it was used on cars finish where the paint was fading etc...in the end found out it was a cleaner/wax all in one sort of deal, for that everyday billy buff type of joe blow wax type of guy.

now i fully understand when it can be used.

i personally like to do 5 step every time with M80 and NXT x 2. but as those who reguallary do the 5 step process on their cars know, its very time consuming when you do a lot of other things in life.

and so that lead me to find a product that i can clean/wax and then follow with NXt and cut down on some time but make the car still look SHARP.

      thanks
