  • #21 vs. #20

Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of reading on here about #21 (Synthetic Sealant) and #20 (Polymer Sealant). Just from reading it's pretty tough to figure which is better (if one is) and how is the best way to describe the differences to my customers. Right now I just have #21 and i'm wondering if it is really worth it to offer #20 or should I just stick with one.

    Thanks a lot

    Re: #21 vs. #20

The differences are mostly for you, not the customers.

#21 is a synthetic sealant, not much cleaning ability.

#20 polymer sealant is a bit of a blend, synthetic and carnuba, and has some moderate cleaning ability. Not like a regular cleaner, but if a car came to you in already good shape, you could just apply it. Basicaly saving you time.

I could be wrong, but I want to say its the other way around...#21 cleans, #20 not so much. But, again, I'm no expert.....

We apply #20 on our wash and wax jobs and #21 only if the vehicle was buffed first.

          Re: #21 vs. #20

so what I'm gathering from what Joe and Murr are saying is that 21 is more used for a topper after a cleaning and polishing process has already taken place, and twenty can be used a little more like a one step process.
That being said, I already use M66 for my one step processes, so getting 20 wouldn't exactly be that beneficial. Am I correct in this assumption?
          Thanks for the info.
