I have a '01 Mustang Bullitt in Dark Highland Green. Paint is just about factory new as the car is a garage queen. My question is this. Which polish should I use and what wax do you suggest I follow with? I do have a Porter Cable buffer, but have only used it on my Expedition. Should I continue to hand wax the Bullitt or apply the polish and wax with the buffer? Thanks for the advice.

Re: Which polish and wax to use?
Welcome to MOL!
You can use your PC on your Mustang with no worries, you will get better results with less effort with your PC.
A very popular combination to use with your PC is:
1. Cleaner/Polish - #80 Speed Glaze
2. Pure Polish - M-07 Show Car Glaze or my favorite M-81 Hand Polish
3. Wax - NXT Generation Tech Wax or #21 Synthetic Sealant
Do you have any of these products in your collection already? If not what do you have maybe there is something we can start with there.
The combination of possibilities are endless, but here is the process on my truck: Yes, Another Lightning Detail - #21 and more!, that will give you an idea.

There is another great post I for got to add, Product, Pad and Speed settings for the Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher .
Assuming you have Meguiars pads... The foam polishing pad, W8006 is generally used for paint cleaners and cleaner/polishes... The foam finishing pad is used to apply way or a pure polish.
Hope that helps!Brandon

Re: Which polish and wax to use?
I do already have a 7006, (2) 8006's, and a 9006 pad. Now I have to decide whether I need to use #80 but I don't think so since the paint is in excellent condition. Only some very fine scratches. Will #7 or #81 take care of that? If you think I am better off doing #80 anyway, that is not a problem. I don't mind spending the time to do it right. And I'm undecided between #7 and #81. I have a dark color car. Advice is welcome.
Can products like #80, 81 and 7 be bought in a local store or in online the only place? I saw in the auto parts store the basic Meguiar products, but not those. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Re: Which polish and wax to use?
You can purchase #80, #7, #81 and so on, in auto parts stores. Often they are not on the shelf but they can get them from their local warehouse if you ask.
#7 and #81 are pure polishes and are not designed to remove scratches so if you are interested in removing the scratches #80 is the better option.
As for the differences in #7 and #81, I can't give a fair comparison on the two but I am sure someone on MOL will chime in on it. I know you hear more about #7 than you do #81.Brandon
