I-CAR Class?

Has anyone taking the Refinishing Class? I have been looking at taking Refinishing I, it covers detailing. I found a thread that Superior Shine took it. He said that he already knew 99% of the material. But I am wondering if it would be too far over my head. I am not a pro yet but I want to get there.

The class is listed at $125. It covers, Inspecting the Finish, Identifying Finish Defects, Removing Finish Defects and Understanding Interior and Exterior Final Detailing. Its at my local tech school on 03/16/2007. Looks like it's only 4 hours so they must fly through the info.

I really cant afford to waste $125 if I will just be lost the whole time.

What are your goals?

I think taking an auto body class at a local community collage would be more beneficial.

I want to be where you and some of the other pros are. To cross the gap from the weekend warrior to the professional. I am thinking this is something that most likely will only come with experence and time. I guess I am wanting to cross that gap a little faster and with guidance, rather than trial and error. I would like to do some part time detail. Focusing more on quality, rather than a fast wash and wax. I am just amazed going to car shows and seen horrible finishes on the cars.

I will check into the Auto Body classes.
