  • ScratchX and DC1?

I've just gone over my whole car with scratchX, and done some parts a few times to reduce the swirls left by the dealer. I have DC1 and DC2 and Gold class wax.

My question is, is there anything to be gained by also using DC1 before moving on to the polish, or will the scratchX have done the same job?

    Thanks

AFAIK dc#1 and scratchX are both cleaners and both do the same job, but scratchX is more agressive to get better results removing swirls. In my opinion there's nothing to be gained using DC#1 after scratchX.

As perkoz stated, you really only need to use one type of paint cleaner, after that it's time to move on to the polishing and waxing step. The most important thing however is to do a really good job when doing the cleaning step. It is in the cleaning step that defects are either removed or not removed, if you don't remove them during the cleaning step then they will be there at the end of the process. They'll be all shiny and beautiful, but that's usually not what people want.
