Haven't used one personally but forum wisdom states this pad is not acceptable for applying chemicals, i.e. cleaner/polishes or waxes to the paint, but is perfectly acceptable for using to remove dried wax with a microfiber bonnet around it.

Thats what I thought. Then I realized it would be a nuisance to take the backing plate off just remove wax. So if you had the 7006...rrrrrrrriiiiiiiippppp, stick and put on the bonnet. Plus, the cutting pad will last forever using it solely for wax removal.
