  • A Few Questions About DIY Home Detailing

Hi, im a new member, car owner for 2 years and i think that a couple week ago i found what i was looking for quite a while, awesome car detailing products!.

Honestly Meguiars have really changed my way of thinking towars car detaling, and i think i found a new hobbie, taking care of my car.

After buying one product at a time and testing it at home, my wife decided to gave me as a Birthday present "a lot of bottles of that thing you put on the car", that is how she reffered to Meguiars products.

Also After seeing how a electrical polisher/waxer made the difference by looking in the Extreme Makeover Section, i went to buy one, the sad part is that here in Costa Rica, Meguiars products are not so popular, and thus, i would never find the G100, what i found was a Black & Decker Random Orbit WP900 6'', i got it, and did a test this last weekend and the results were killer, my wife loved it too, ill post some pics as soon as i can btw.

Im writting this post cause i think i did a few mistakes in the process, or at least i think I can inproove my results i did last weeked just in my hood and bumper, i have a Honda Civic 98 Black btw.

    Here's my arsenal:

    Deep Crystal Steps 1,2,3
    PlastX
    Oxidation Remover (Marine)
    Soft Wash Gel
    Cleaner Wax Paste
    Quick Detailer with Clay

What i did was the following

    1-Washed
    2-Clayed
3-Deep Crystal Step 1 - Applyed and removed by hand
4-Deep Crystal Step 2 - Applyed and removed by hand
5-Deep Crystal Step 3 - Applyed hand removed with the Electrical Waxer

    My question is the following:

Since my Electrical waxer is slower that the G100 (that wht i understood), can i apply some products with it, and remove them too?

Like applying and removing DC#1 and DC#2 (since the polishing action would be way better with the machine than doing it by hand)

Can i Also Use the PlastX on Headlights and TailLights with the Polisher?

How about Windows? ca i use the Oxidation Remover for that too? can it be used with the electrical Polisher?

I know I asked too much in just one post, but im getting ready to finish my car next Weekend and i wanted tat all the info i would get was in the same post.

Thanks a lot in advance for all you help, reading other post have helped me a lot.

    Best Regards!

    Eddie

Re: A Few Questions About DIY Home Detailing

Its a lot easier for us to type up good answers if you only ask 1 or 2 questions per post.

Posted using a Sidekick, so we're not really able to type out long answers at this time.

Yes you should be able to use PlastX on the headlights and taillights with the polisher. Sorry, I don't know the answers to any of the other questions.
