    I cleaned the interioir of a lady who claimed to be disabled (but was perfectly fine when i saw her) explorer. I did it for $20 and spent 2 hours steam cleaning the mess of a car just to be nice.

    Now, the next daym she is harrassing me becuase I forgot the windows while concentrating on DETAILING for 60 less than i usually charge!

    Now shes claiming this BS shes gonna take to court and whatnot to get her $26 dollars back...

    Im getting fed up with it.

    Then she says she came by my house later todya and I wasnt working on fixing my car like i said, I replied that i had to WALK to the store to get the damn part.

    I swear, form now on im making people sign slips of paper when im done. I had even asked her to inspect the vehicle BEFORE I LEFT!

    I'm sorry to hear this.

    But YES man, make them sign and cover you A$$, there are a lot people out there with nothing to do but looking for people to screw over....

    I hope everything ends well, or just give her her $26 and get her out of your way.....

      Really sad to hear that lil_Falco yeah its a good idea to let your clients start signing forms before and after you do the work.

        I agree. Give her money back or clean her windows and be done with it. Life is too short to put up with people like that. The longer you wait the more she will find "wrong".....in her mind anyway.

          Here's an idea that works for some people...

          "Always evaluate the customer first"

          There are some people you just don't want to work for. After evaluating the customer and deciding to work for them, then evaluate the finish.

            ^^^ she seemed nice at firstand then I got the nasteist message ever.

            No ****, then she says that she came by my hsoue and I wasnt there and wasnt working on my car. I told her off that I was spending 2 hours walking to and from the parts store so I could fix the damn car and clean her windows today.

            THen she says she enver said that and told me to be honest, I replied by forwarding her her own email...

            I am seriously writing up a form for people to sign before and after.

              Give her a refund. It took you two hours to do the job, work out how long it will take you to do the windows and then refund her the money. I would say she would get back about $2.50.

                What were you thinking doing it for $20.00? I think you should fix her windows and give the money back just to calm her down, and to keep her from telling everyone what a "bad" job you did. I have to agree with Mike in detailing you have to evaluate your customer first.

                  Mikes right! That's what I usually do if I don't know the person. The other thing is if she is making a big deal about $26.00 then wait till she get's the court costs.

                    this brings up an interesting thought....what do you have the customer sign ?...is there a standard form that most of you are using ?...most of my detail jobs have been neighbors or acquaintences so this hasn't been an issue for me...is there an "expectations document" that exists or is it something that we need !?....

                      She's probably all talk - one of those that likes to threaten with court but would never follow through. I'd be surprised to find out that she ACTUALLY took you to court over this. She'd end up paying court fees, subpoena fees, and who knows what else just for $26. You'd probably end up with the last laugh when her $26 detail job turned into $100 or more. Ha Ha

                        I went and did her windows and she straightened herself out...

                        I guess she's dying from like 6 diseases... I think she needs more, She aint dying fast enough...

                        Lol

                        If someone could write up or scan a legal form that wouldnt have any loopholes thatd be awsome

                          Well to help you out this is what I'm going to create as I'm starting to do more and more details and would like to prevent this type of problem. I'm going to create a sheet with different boxes of packages and what they include. Then There will be extras and a check box next to them. I will check what the customer wants, including the package and any extras and then have lines for even more extras. Then have a box for the price that they are getting charged. On the bottom have a spot where they print there name and a line where they sign and date.

                            Sounds awsome, Can you throw in there a box for gas charges. Im mobile so two boxes, one for quote and one for actual would be awsome.
