  • What polish should I use?

    Hey everybody,

Well, forecast says it's gonna rain everyday until Saturday....starting to feel like I live in London. Anyways, I'm planning to detail the car when the raining is done.

So I need a new bottle of polish to shine the paint up. I was planning to order online along with some other supples (Microfiber towel and a clay bar).

So, now the big question. Which polish should I use? The deep crystal polish? Or should I upgrade to hand-applied professional line like the New Car Glaze or Show Car glaze? What's the differnce?

I already have ScratchX, GoldClass Wash, Nxt Tech Wax, Spray Wax, and Quik Detailer.

My vote is for #81 Hand polish. It has given me the best results over DC#2 and #9. #81 applies and removes with ease and leaves a very deep looking finish. Top with NXT and you have a great combo! Just my 2 cents!

Never used new car glaze. I like the show car glaze. I now use #81 hand polish. Much easier to remove than #7 show car glaze.

If you have a PC then give #80 speed glaze a try if you have minor flaws your going to try to remove. I'm gonna try #80 out this weekend.

      Good luck!

yes...wasn't too happy with DC #2 topped with NXT ...not that it was bad..but missing the bling factor I guess..is #81 ONLY for hand polishing or can you cheat with PC?? I really like the NXT just want that POP...I guess I should break down and clay too!

It's gonna take me a while to understand your "language" refering to the numbers designated for each bottle of Megs Professional. Now what does a DC mean? I know what PC is, I want one but whats a DC?

I'm guessing #81 wins but how does New Car Glaze and Show Car glaze compare in shine? Labor....I get my son, who has waaay more muscles than me, to do it. He does a pretty good job.

I use #81 with my PC and the finishing pad on speed 3. You will find lots of people on here that do the same. works great!
