  • Powder Coat - how to care for it

I have a Cheetah V8 Trike that is powder coated instead of painted. What is the best way to care for the powder coating?

From experience, about the most you can do with a powder coated finish is to wash it as normal and/or wipe it clean with a quick detailer.

From what we've experienced, powder coated finishes don't lend themselves to being cleaned or abraded with the normal type of paint care products you would typically use on a car's finish.

We've tried simple things like using a cleaner/wax or NXT Tech Wax just for peace of mind to know that we've applied a coating of protective wax, but there has never been a,

"Wow" now look at the finish!

    type moment.

Maybe someone will chime in with more information and if you discover a wonder product for powder coated parts please share that with our forum.

    Thank you!
