#39 works very well at this task. Follow up with #40 and it will look like new.

Is this a plastic type trim or is it a rubberized type? Also, if it's plastic, is it a clearcoated plastic?

If rubberized, I've had EXCELLENT results with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. This **IS** an abrasive cleaning method and thus, if it's something fragile like a clearcoated plastic, I absolutely would not attempt to try it.

Once clean, follow with #40 or NXT Protectant.

It is on the door handles and body trim...I know it is not clearcoated. The car is a brand new Crysler Town and Country, less than a year old, its the company car and it looks terrible.

If you've got #39 or an all purpose cleaner thats all surface safe(stay away from simple green) you can try that. If the surface is porus you might need to take a tooth brush and gently agitate it after applying the product if necessary. If for some reason that doesn't work you might try a 1:1 dillution of isopropyl alcohol. I had a 1970 Dodge Challenger I polished once, and they (if done correctly) have a big flat black decal on the hood which I though would look good with wax on it, it didn't. I didn't have all the products I do now and the only thing I could find to take it off was dilluted isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks for the replies guys...I tried a little bit of "Mr. Clean" diluted with water and scrubed with a small scrub brush and what it could not get at I used a tooth brush...got most of the wax off. Im going to use so G.C. trim detailer tomorrow...and the problem sould be solved.

Moral of the story....keep your friends away from your cars!!LOL
