I don't know if there is a difference, I use the Lambswool mitt and I also have the brush.
How and where do you store the mitt?
I let mine air dry and store it in a container that I have drilled small holes in to allow air to circulate.
If after its dry I notice particles in the mitt I throw it in washer.

To minimize the potential for adding scratches and swirls when you wash, apply the wash solution in a straight line, following the natural airflow of the vehicle... a straight lien scrath is easier to deal with than a circular one.

Use the two bucket method and rinse the wash mitt after every panel.

Use a separte set of buckets and older wash mitts for cleaning tire and wheel assemblies.

Rinse the car afterwards with free flowing water to allow thw water to sheet off of the finish and lessen drying tim.,

Follow the airflow of the vehilce with whatever you are drying with (chamois, drying towel, etc.) Once again, relegate the older chamois and dsying towels for drying the wheel and tire assemblies.

After I wash my car, I wash and dry my mitt and store it in a air tight container.
