  • Substitution For Body Scrub

    Hey everyone,

My father has used body scrub for years and now that it is no longer available he needs a substitutional product for it. He uses it with the pc with great results. Hopefully the Meg's guru (Mike Phillips) can chime in with his vast knowledge. I did a search and could not fine a direct post stating a substitutional product. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. products from a line and mirror glaze line are fine.

Body Scrub is gone forever... you can use Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner or ScratchX instead. It didn't meet VOC standards put into force in January of 2005, so it was discontinued. Thank the EPA.

If any of u guys live in the philadelphia area check out national wholesale liquadators. They get a lot of discontinued stuff and I checked there and the have LOTS of body scrub and meguiars items I never even seen before. Anyway their prices are a lot cheaper too about 3 or 4 $ per bottle. Maybe they will get some porter cable 7424's in since they are dicontiued right? Like I said before they had LOTS of body scrub atleast 10 or 12 bottles of it. I hope I was any help for you guys who are looking for some last meguiars items. The store is near the blvd headed to franklin mills if any of u guys no where that is.

Another product you might keep an eye out for is the Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner (MPPC). It is similar to body scrub but it's from the professional line. Just look for the black bottle! It can be used by hand or machine. It is a great paint cleaner and is very easy to use. It can remove bird bomb remains that other products wouldn't touch. MPPC has been discontinued but you may be able to find it at an online retailer or places like National Wholesale Liquidators or Big Lots.

Another current product to consider from the Pro Line would be the recently reformulated #2 Medium Cut Cleaner. It is great for PC use!

Thanks for the tip...I'll have to add National Wholesale Liquidators to the Big Lots loop...
