  • Any suggestions on how to apply NXT All Metal Polysh?

I'm using this stuff for the 1st time tomorrow on chrome trim on my wife's car.
If you've used it before, let me know what you're process looks like.

Also, where in the process should I use the All Metal Polysh?
I'll be washing, claying, DC system cleaner, DC system polish, & NXT Tech wax.

    Thanks for the help.

I apply NXT Metal Polysh with an old clean 100% cotton terry towel then remove with a clean/buff 100% cotton towel. NXT Metal Polysh works very well and leaves a nice protective coating behind.

I like to do the 'final detail' stuff (windows, chrome, wheels and so on) work last, after all processes have been finished on the paint.

Just to make sure, it is chrome, not that fake chrome painted trim.

After that, you can really do it whenever you feel like. The cleaner would remoce wax, so if you think you might be messy, you may want to do it before waxing at least.

I usualy just do my mufflers/tips a day or two later.

All you really have to do it put a small amout on some terry cloth. I prefer old white socks. You kind of have the more agressive knap then, and a smoother side to use.

Just put a small amount on the cloth, and work it in. Add more as needed. You will find a little goes a decent way.

I like to let it dry just a tad, and it seem to remove easier with a second clean cloth.

How can I tell the difference? Is there a "test" I can do?

My wife has an '03 VW Passat & I have an '06 VW Passat.
        Not sure if that helps.

        Thanks for the reply guys.

Can you tell if the piece is metal or plastic?

If you tap/flick it, does it sound like metal?

It really looks like metal, but who knows.
I'm guessing some of it's not.

Would a magnet attach to it if it is chrome?

              FYI,

All Metal Polish also works on painted chrome. Especially for front end logo's and trim, which get grimy over time.

This is the logo on my car after AMP application. Car had run about 70.000 km.
