  • Has anyone used NXT Tech Protect? Opinions vs. other Meg's products?

The title basically sums up my question.
If you've used NXT Tech protect, what do you think of it (be specific as to if you've used it on the exterior &/or interior)?
How does it perform differently than other Meg's products?

    Thanks for the help.

Its not going to be real durable on the exterior, best for interior plastics.

Definately one of the glossiest products, though I buff off excess to cut the shine down a little. I like it, makes my dark gray plastic/vinyl look very rich, and I like the shine.

      Murr, thanks for the reply.

I was thinking the same thing, about using it for my interior.
I'm like you too, in that I don't want a high shine on my vinyl/plastic.

What does your application process involve, and what do you use to buff out the shine?
Does buffing out the shine reduce the protective qualities (UV protection, etc..)?

Any other replies are welcome too.

I should mention that my dash is quite textured, which cuts down on the shine as well. I mean textured to the point that I can dress my steering wheel and it is still completly grippable, not slick at all.

I apply with a Target brand MF cloth, usualy spraying on the cloth then wiping around. Then let it all sit for 5 minutesish. Then come back with another MF towel and just buff around.

I think the bottle even says to buff off excess, so it cant hurt the product any.

Murr, thanks a lot for the info.
That's exactly what I was looking for.

Anyone else want to put their 2 cents in?

I would say the same thing... one think I noticed and maybe its just me and/or my truck but it seems to create static electricity during application and thus seems to attract dust a little more than other interior dressings.

Yes, I kind of try to touch metal, etc as I go around. I'm not really a static electricity expert, but it seems to help some.

besides that, tech protect's colour is clear, unlike other protectants like armorall, u can spray it in ur wheel wells, plastic radiator grills and other areas and it won't look messy/milky/runny...

                  Hi
I was wondering would tech protect be usable on the cars trim (exterior) as i dont want to have to buy another product just for my cars trim or do i have no choice?

and would it be alright if i used this stuff on my mp3 player just wipe it on?
kinda new to all this stuff , thanks

It can be used on the exterior, but isnt going to be as durable, and would actualy wear off quickly in the rain.

As far as MP3 players, etc, it has to be a somewhat pourous surface or textured surface. Ipods for instance are very hard, not much of the product would be ably to absorb into the surface. I have used it on suitcases as well.... Just buff it off after so there is no greasy feel left behind.

I have used it on my bed cover and it works well but like Murr mentioned above it won't last in the rain another thing I noticed with Tech Protectant it seemed to attract dust much more so than other dressings.
