I have one big question that I hope someone can answer for me. I have a black Integra that for some reason everytime I wash it I get swirls. I've had it detailed three seperate times, and once I wash it the swirls come back. My question is...Does anyone know why the swirls won't stay away? The car has been repainted black (was white) and has quite a few layers of clear on it. It gets to the point that I don't wanna drive the car because I feel embarrassed with the swirls. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Swirls and haze driving me crazy....
Well, there are two basic possibilities:
1. You say you have had it detailed. The detailer may just be hiding swirls, never actually removing them. And when you wash, you are just removing his wax/polish that was hiding them.
2. You are instilling swirls as you wash, either due to bad products, bad technique, or both.
What have you been washing with, what materials, drying materials, what soap?
Do you know what step/steps your detailer was performing? With what products?2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Swirls and haze driving me crazy....
Besides all the information Murr1525 posted, truth is that clear coats are scratch-sensitive, no matter how well you treat the clear coat, sooner or later you'll instill light scratches and as these build-up you find your clear coat is a swirled out mess.
This is why it's so important to use the best products you can get and do you best work whenever you're washing or drying or waxing your car.
