I would go back to the junkyard. I think that they know how you can remove it (and maybe do it for you).

I agree and if they don't or won't then return it and go somewhere else.

They use a paint marker. Paint thinner should take it off.

We think they use what's called a Grease Pencil, could be the same thing as paint marker?

Anyway, paint thinner should work, so should some ScratchX with a little passion behind the pad, or a piece of terry cloth.

Most of the time you'd think that would work, however a bike that I ended up buying back from the insurance company sat for six months at a salvage yard. The surrounding paint faded and I can still see the marks on the gas tank. Good thing its a track bike, otherwise I'd be upset.

Also try some greased lightning, or Royal Purple or Simple Green.

well what do you know, that thing sat out in the rain overnight, (after i washed the car!!!!!! ) well, it bothered me so much when i woke up in the morning, i went outside to look at it and start poking with my nails, it started to chip away, then i was like, hmm, lemme go get a brush, poured some turtle wax car wash on it(i know its not meguiarssorry) and started to brush away, it was going going GONE!, just need to wash it again, and polish some scratches away. thank you all for the input.

I would clay it and then call the junkyard and they will tell you how to take it off.
