So as not to highjack MattN03's thread I started a new one regarding the washmitt. Heres a pic...the one on the left is the one I got from work and the one on the right is the Sprawlmart mitt. One looks and feels soft and the other does not.

The picture really does equal a thousand words in describing the two. There really isn't any comparison, is there?
To the best of your knowledge. is that mitt available at all NAPA stores?
It looks like I should stop by NAPA between now and March.

No problem! Take this with a grain of salt...I went to buy an extra one this morning. There were two on shelf and one had a black cuff like the first one I bought and the other had a green cuff like the right one in the pic. Dont know if there is a connection, but its possibly hit or miss. Needless to say, I got the one with the black cuff.

Just finished washing my wifes car with the two mitts pictured above. I paid a little more attention this time and noticed that the one on the right does not shed debris as well as the other. So I am using it strictly for below the belt and wheel well lip. It also holds soap poorly. Thats it for now

It appears that your initial thought was correct. The NAPA mitt seems to be your choice.

My NAPA mitt arrived and it is virtually identical to the one from Wal*Mart.
Same size, same feel, even the same diamond embossed pattern on the cuff. The NAPA mitt has a black cuff while the WM mitt cuff is blue. They even have small plastic loops to hang them up that are the same.
Just so you don't misunderstand, I'm in no way upset with the mitt. It's just not worth twice the money. Three times the money if you add in the shipping charge.
I think my WM just carries a better brand of mitt than yours

Thats strange. I have two unopened mitts and they appear to be the same quality as the first one. I suppose its some batches are just better than others. I'm still trying to remember a pleasant experience at said store (other than saving a little money)
