  • Numbers????

    Hello all,
I just joined this forum today. I have been detailing for about 3 years. I usually use high-end products like zymol. However, I tried some meguair's and it's actually very nice... anyways...what's this # stuff everyone refers to. #8...#12? what are these? It may be a stupid question but I'd appreciate the help.

You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

            Confused about the Numbers?

We understand that the Numbers at first can be confusing, but once you come to the understanding that the numbers are simply...

            Quick Reference Numbers

They do not signify how aggressive or non-aggressive the product is or isn't.

There is no order to the numbers, that is you don't use #00 first, followed by #1, followed by #2, etc...

They are simply part numbers for fast/quick reference to by the people that work in the Professional industry, i.e., painters, painters helpers, detailers etc.

When trying to figure out the Meguiar's System focus on what the product does, or in other words the category the product fits into instead of the number on the bottle.

For example, #82 Swirl Free Polish is a Cleaner/Polish that fits into Step 2 Polishing, that is removing fine swirls and scratches and creating gloss.

The most important thing to remember when moving into Meguiar's Professional Line is that you're stepping out of the Consumer World and into the Professional World and things are a little different.

We have no stupid questions here only unanswered brainstorming until someone chimes in with the answer.
