  • Getting a fresh start...

Well guys I just bought a shiny black IS300 and really want to keep it looking clean. There are definitely some swirls on it and I would like to get those taken care of. The problem is that I can take care of it for the next week and then I lose my garage. I will be at school so it will get a hand wash every week and thats probably it.

    Well for my question:

I think it is over my head to try and get all the scratches out on my own. So I am probably going to go with a professional detail and then take over from there. What would be a good routine? I won't have the time/patience to wax it every week. Would something like a wash every week, clay and wax, maybe polish, every month. Let me just get some input on what approach I should take.

Luckily I'm not addicted like you guys, but I do like a clean car.

    THanks

If you are going to be focusing on washing as your main car care, then you will want to make sure to use a good soap, good quality sponges/towels, and the 2 bucket washing system. A Grit Guard is also a must.

There is a nice movie over at showcargarage.com about washing.
