I currently use Gold Class Liquid Wax as the final step, works great! But it seems a lot of people on here use NXT? What are the differences and why do you choose one over the other?
I usually finish with one good thick coat of gold class and do half the car before I go back and wipe. Then the other. Let's it sit and get that paint mirror finish we all love. I always thought when that NXT stuff came out it was simply repackaged materials like gold class or whatever to appeal to sport compact people to get a quick clean. I guess that the labeling throws me off.

You don't need to apply a THICK coat. You only need to apply 2 THIN coats.
Apply your first thin coat to the whole car, that way the wax has had time to dry to a haze, remove with a MF and then apply the second coat a few hours later.
I think NXT gives a better reflection and adds some pop to the car.
