Well i have a carbon fiber hood that has been beaten up really bad with the weather and just tried using #83 and then 80 and my hood still looks the same. With my DA what speed should i use and how fast should i move it and also how much product should i use. thanks

In addition to the info posted above....
If you haven't already you might search MOL for 'carbon fiber' there are a few other that have posted some results and such. Just a thought.Brandon

If the #83 didn't get the job done, then your use of #80 was a wasted effort. It didn't hurt anything, but didn't do much toward correcting your problems. If you decide to use something more aggressive, be sure it can be used with the DA. Some products don't work well with a DA. A Meguiar's product will have that information on the bottle.
FWIW, flaws that take 30 minutes to remove with a DA would probably be removed in 5 minutes with a rotary in the hands of someone that is good with it. You might want to consider having a pro take shot at it and you take care of the rest of the vehicle.Charles
