  • "Could you be...the most beautiful wax in the world..."

My #16 is finally here! 8 Blessed tins of crayola blue goodness. I couldn't resist. I squared off a section of my hood, QD'd it and applied a thin coat. It's humid today so I am letting it dry.

My initial impressions...I LOVE the royal blue tin. The metal can reminds me of waxing my car with an old Turtle Wax tin back in the mid 80's. I don't see why people need to mist their vehicle or their applicator pad. The wax looks very hard but as soon as I slid in my foam pad and did 3 counter-clockwise turns, it melted onto the pad. This stuff applied so buttery smooth. Reminded me of my #26.

We'll see how the results look. I'll follow up with pics...Thanks eSHine!

Just remember to apply it THIN!!! I turn my applicator maybe once in the tin (about a 1/4 turn) and that will cover my hood easily. You should apply it so thin that you can't really see it until it starts to haze, otherwise you will never get it off.

#16 is like the nursery rhyme with the girl that when she is good she's really really good, but when she is bad she is horrible. Apply it correctly and it will be one of the easiest waxes you will remove.
Let's make all of the cars shiny!

Sounds like you really like the tins #16 is in(I do to).... maybe a nice coat of #16 on the tin can itself would be called for?

I actually tried that......makes it kinda slick. Subsequently I dropped the can and dented it. So I wouldn't recommend it.

I don't mean to laugh but

Kind of ruins the whole idea of keeping it nice, huh... paint less dent removal?

              Its a shiny dent, though.

Yeah I have some callaway golf clubs (X-16's) and I am wondering how a nice coat of wax on them would look. I hate having to clean them every round becuase they get so dirty so quickly - grass and dirt stains are almost impossible to get out.

Hmmmmmm. Maybe i need to experiment

Golfers do actually wax their clubs. Someone actually offered, and may still offer, a carnauba wax for golf clubs!
