  • Carbon fiber hood need help

I have a carbon fiber hood which looks like this.

I need to know if it can be fixed. the image is much worst in person then it is on this pic. but what the image looks like is big white spots and i tried to polish it and then buff it but is does not seem to work and i am also new to this so which product should i use and is it fixable.

Sure you can fix that, (in most cases), it's usually just oxidation. You need to get either a paint cleaner or a cleaner/polish or a cleaner/wax like ColorX and apply any of these with a little passion behind your applicator pad and you should be able to remove enough oxidation to reveal a fresh base. This will restore clarity and thus you will be able to see the carbon fiber matte below.

Be sure to follow with a coat or two of wax and then maintain to prevent it from happening again.
