  • claying procedure - FI VS Last touch

I'm planning to remove contaminents from my brother's car (95 Nissan 240SE Green Pearl). I know I can use Final Inspaction as a lubricant for clay to do the job, but what about Last Touch Spray Detailer? I know that both of them can be used for quick touch ups, but what about clay lubricating? Anybody tried LTSD? Will it be slippery enough to lubricate properly?

    Hey,

I prefer Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection for claying. While Last Touch is an excellent QD, I have found it almost too slippery for claying. Just IMHO!

Last Touch says it can be diluted 1:1 for claying. I personally liked Final Detail with the Detailer mild clay, though it caused it to melt all over my fingers. I love how it leaves the surface feeling ridiculously smooth and slick. But my car never needs very aggressive claying so perhaps I wouldn't feel that way if there were a lot of crud to remove.
