  • I'm pickin' up good vibrations !!!

Or should I say I'm pickin' up fewer vibrations since I switched backing plates !!!

I've been using my PC 7424 since last December with the 6" backing plate that came with the unit (got it from Coatal Tool) and just recently tried the flexible 5 inch backing plate.

I read a review from David Bynon over at Autopia on the use of the PC and he said the 5" plate made a big improvement.
He was right. What a difference! Used with 6" pads from CMA the machine seems to be better balanced with fewer vibrations. Has anyone had the same experience?

    Hey,

I have always used the Meguiar's W-64DA backing plate and have never had a problem/issue with vibration. There will always be some, but not that bad.
