  • Newbie with an uncommon question

Well, it might be a common question. I have a 2005 Buick Luzerne and I noticed what looks like paint marks on the inside wheel well ( it has the consistancy of paint) on both front wheel wells. There wasn't any on the doors or other exterior panels. What's the best way to clean it up short of removing the wheel wells. Any help is appreciated!

What kind of paint? Like the paint used to make the lines on the road? Usually white or yellow? Or paint like you see on the outside of your car? Or perhaps white paint like in house paint that may have spilled on a road you drove over?

Either way, there is no easy, fast simple way to remove paint in most cases, you could try going to a car wash and spraying it with a power sprayer, or slop on some Goo Gone, allow it to penetrate and then wash it off with a power sprayer.

The problem with using too strong of a chemical like a paint remover is that it will not only remove the unwanted paint, but it also might remove the wanted paint or undercoating in your wheel wells.

You also might try a pro detail shop, see what they can do.

i will assume you have road paint on the plastic wheelwell liners?
use whatever tire dressing you prefer and spray the liners, bear with me, this will act as a lube while you use a plastic razor blade an scrape it off.you can get the blades at any pro supply store. most of the time it comes right off.
      good luck!
