    I understand and agree, however.....

I was illustrating the other PC's poor explanation.

He wrote "drag goes up with the square of speed".

    That sentence doesn't make sense.

Why is this thread garbage? It has gone a bit off track from where I expected it to go. (I want to know more about T E F L O N and how the claims made by the company add up. Are the claims blatent misrepresentations, or do they have some science behind them. Or is it all just maketing and they are just waxing cars!) But so far I am finding it most informative and enjoyable.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Words in the math/science/engineering world mean different things than in the "normal" world.

That said, more on the topic, I still have seen a competitive edge from ANY products using ******. ****** is most effective when it is sprayed and adhered to a surface. With ****** in wax I could see it helping application and removal, but I just can't imagine how they would have it adhere to the surface.

I guess you’d have to go to them for that. Nobody else makes such unbelievable claims, even other companies that tout T***** in their product. The people who invented, manufacture and hold the rights to T***** certainly make no such claims. I wouldn’t hold my breath on getting anything from them but a hard sell.

This is the problem. They don’t want to be educated. People want the easy way out. When somebody shows up making pie-in-the-sky promises people want to believe them. It’s much easier than accepting the responsibility of routine maintenance. You might as well let them, there’s no way you’re going to change their minds anyway.

Now, if somebody is actually interested in the rational viewpoint sure, go ahead and explain it to them. But don’t try to talk anybody out of something when they’ve already made their minds up.

Some of them will begin to figure it out as their cars rot though neglect and yours stays shiny. Others won’t see, know or care that there’s a difference and will be perfectly content with having spent the money.
