Hi all,
I clayed my truck today using the consumer line clay, but I was out of QD so I used Last Touch, diluted 1:1. After I finished claying the side, I wiped off the LT and noticed it looked like there was a film on there. I figured it just hadn't dried completely so I went on to the tailgate. Once I finished the tailgate I looked at the side again and it still looked like there was a film! I thought maybe it was just dew, so I used a dry towel and wiped it off. Or at least I tried to wipe it off. I wiped...and wiped...and wiped.
Finally I figured possibly my towel was too wet.
So I grabbed a clean, dry MF and rubbed a bunch more. Finally in one patch I got it to where there wasn't a film on it. The rest of the side still has a film on it, even though I wiped it off a lot. I know this isn't from the dew, because if it was dew I would have been able to wipe it off much easier and quicker. Any advice as to why I got a film and how to get rid of it? I was just planning on buffing with #80 after claying...would it be ok to just buff without removing the film? Thanks in advance for any help!!
