  • New Truck, New Methods....

Hi guys, This is my first post. Ive been stalking this forum for a little while and I want to say thanks to all that contribute...Theres a lot of great information on here to learn from! Before I checked out this site, I would have considered myself an authority on waxes and detailing....Ive been doing it for so many years with much success that when my friends have any questions at all, they usually come to me. Well...You guys have showed me how little I really know about this stuff in todays day.

    So heres my first question:

I just purchased an 07 Diamond Black Toyota FJ Cruiser. I have two strikes against me...Its outdoors and its black. What can I use to add some good protection to my paint. I dont have any of the orbital machines Ive been reading about over here yet. What products/ techniques/ etc. do you recommend??? Thanks!

    Welcome to MOL!

I love FJ's. One of these days I'm going to go to the dealer and pretend I am going to buy one, so I get to drive it. For good protection I'd go with #21 or NXT.

Any other questions, just ask away!

Congrats on the FJ. Test drove one but it was too offroadish for our needs, went with the girly Element instead . Sweet ride though.

Big question is did it come with the dealer installed swirl package. IE did they scratch the paint up? This will really determine how you need to proceed. There are many great products that will keep your paint like new, like is often mentioned, using them often is the key.
