Meguiars Tire Derssings ???

I have only used Endurance. But has someone used the "hot shine" products? Such as Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray orHot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray (Trigger)? Can you compare them to Endurance, durability/shine/ease of use/slinging?

I have used both Hot Shine in the trigger and Endurance. I still love the Endurance. It is easier to use to me because it is a thick gel. You don't have to worry about it getting on the rims. I use a tire applicator to apply. The Endurance outperforms the Hot Shine. My tires stay black for a very long time with the Endurance...plus who can resist that grape smell?

I like the Hot Shine Tire Spray for ease of use and I also like the look but I think my favorite is still the Endurance.

Thanks for the replys! I love endurance but I wanted to make sure I am not missing out on something. I like the control you have when applying Endurance with an applicator, nothing on the rims! The stuff seems to last for ever as well!

see my reply on the hot shine thread. If I had to pick just one, it would be endurance! but hot shine would be a very close second. looks are similar, but hot shine is very easy to use. which is good because you'll need to apply more often.............but we probably all redress our tires after we wash most of the time anyway so that probably doesn't matter anyway.

I prefer Hot Shine over Endurance. I only used Endurance High Gloss, - it's good, I still like it - but aerosol bottle is easier application and it gives you detailed brand new look, where Endurance High Gloss gives you a little to much of Gloss, so you can easily tell that tires have treated.

there is one bit of irony here I'd like to point out, please don't think I'm judging anyone but this kind of confusses me. on a perfect detail, why do we try to make the paint "better than new" and as "shiney" as possible, but the tires we want to stop at the " same look as when they were new, but not improved (or should I say different) look"?
I use to love the wetter the better look, but have toned "way down" but if they don't have some shine I feel like I didn't do a complete job. maybe it just one of those last old habits thats hard to break.

I like endurance.. Haven't used hot shine. Here lately I've just scrubbed the tires with a brush using NXT soap and water. It takes a bit of elbow grease to remove the UV blocking material that comes out of the tire. I thinks its a wax of some type. You know the brown stuff. Anyway that leaves the tire restored to almost new looking. I think it looks great by itself. Just for giggles I used endurance this past weekend and after tons of rain the tires still look great.. Seems just like paint surface prep. The more you do the better and longer lasting the results you get.

Well, i use the Endurance for long live protection on the tires if I know i am gonna drive long on the road to meetings and shows... .. i think this one is easier to apply to each tire... but the hotshine tyrespray is also nice to apply accept the fact that you always have al little on the side of the car that catches a few drops with the wind. but for on shows it`s very quick offcourse...

Because we want people to notice the paint, not the tires

But it's just a matter of personal preference, same with the paint. Some people like the look that sealants leave, some like pure carnubas, etc.

I personally didn't much care for Endurance when I used it a couple years ago. Went through the whole bottle. Sound I found something else I like, and I use it often

Your right. I still like the overall finished look with dressed tires. Just adds a little something. I think it makes the paint finish look even better.

That's all good for my ride, I'll maintain the work. I do have issues with using tire dressing for clients. I know it will look good for a few days or even a week, but won't be maintained by the wash and wax client. I just as soon clean the tires really well only.. One less thing for them to complain about later. "The tire shine only lasted X amount of days" three months after a wash and wax.

Just my .02 not a slam or anything.

good explanation! I just have a hard time trying to tone down my look. pictures in these threads always look good, but when I try it at home in person, I feel like I'm not finishing the job if the tires don't shine, but I'm detirmined to break that habit! thanks for the input.

A nice well dressed tire completes the detail for me. It just depends on what mood I feel like in regards to shine.

I like endurance (low gloss)for the look.Hot shine is good if your in a squeeze or at a event and you need a quick fix fast.I have low profile tires so it was hard for me to not get the hot shine all over the rims so i gotta be careful when i use it.But i like both poducts.
