Scratch X whole truck

Hey guys, so I am kinda new to this so bear with me. This is the setup I was going to do this weeknd
1.)Was with dawn dishwasher liquid.
2.)Wash with RainX
3.)Scratch X some bad spots which there are a lot of
4.)Wax with Meguiras Gold Class Paste(which i hate)


Whad do yall think? My main question, is can I put scratch X on the whole truck, make it act as a wax? I rally don't like the paste, becasue now I have little particles of dirt in the paste, any suggestions for that? Thanks

Get a Ford first off, just kidding. I'm not into using the dish soap for the wash. Why and what are you washing with RainX? You can use the Scratch on the whole truck, it works great, just don't let it stay on too long. If you got trash in your paste wax throw it out. Pick up some NXT wax, it works great.

Welcome, no problem being new. Lemme answer some questions, and of course some problems I see, and I'll post some links after for yo uto read and try and get the most out of.

First, your process:

1. Please no dishwashing soap, it does nothing usefull.

2. Do you already own the Rain-X car wash soap? It is understandable to use things up, but then you might want to try out Nxt or Gold Class soap, which are a much higher quality.

3. ScratchX - It is possible to ScratchX a whole vehicle. But it will ****. It is not a wipe on wipe off product, it needs worked into the paint very thourouhly, and if you want close to perfect, usualy more than 1 coat.

4. Why do you hate Gold Class? Just not a paste fan cause it gets particles? I wouldnt even put it on your paint, cause dragging those particles around will just put swirls back into your paint.

I really like #21, which is in a liquid form.

I am with scott504 on the Dawn subject, wash your truck with a quality car wash Dawn is not designed to wash cars, even the makers of Dawn(Procter and Gamble) recommend not using their product on a vehicle. Now, I would assume you are talking about RainX's car wash soap?!?! If so I have never used it but it should work just fine. ScratchX will remove any previous coat of wax, so again no need for Dawn. Now.... You can ScratchX your entire truck, just be prepared to spend some time and effort on the task. Here is a couple of great threads to help you out with the use of scratchX: How To Remove Swirls By Hand, or How to remove a defect by hand with ScratchX.. I also think you need to toss your paste wax and buy a new wax, if you are not sold on Gold Class.... I might suggest NXT Generation Tech Wax(paste or liquid), easy to find, easy to use and give great results!
