Car Repainted...with Horrible Swirls!! What to do?
Re: Car Repainted...with Horrible Swirls!! What to do?
You're better off taking pictures of the car at the body shop, paying a professional like Mike to remove the swirls, and making the body shop pay for the price of the detail.

You're right, but I think that would mean removing enough clear coat to totally get rid of all the swirls. I feel like a brand new paint job shouldn't have to succumb to that right of the bat, you know?
I talked to my insurance agent (who I trust) and the shop. They both absolutely promise if I'm not happy, they'll fix it. So I'm just to going to document everything with photos, and when I wash the car, wait for the swirls to reshow.

Personally I think you are wasting your time. I understand you want a fresh paint job to look good, but 95% of the time body shops buff them wrong.
