  • Scratch-X ?

Have had great results using Scratch-X to correct small marring. This weekend I used it in the areas around the door handles that the G100 can't reach....mostly slight scratches from fingernails I would guess. How can something like a fingernail mar a clear coat finish so easily and yet take soooo much work to remove? I guess that's as much a rhetorical question as anything.

I used 83 & then 80 (after surface prep) with great results. Would either of those two products work as a substitute (by hand) for Scratch-X (in the hopes of saving some time and effort) or would you be unable to break down the abrasives by hand?

    Re: Scratch-X ?

I think it is that the abrasives break down in a different way or something, not that it cant be done.
