I saw a tube of Scratch-X at the store the other day that was labled "New and Improved" and "can be used with a DA polisher". I have an old tube of Scratch-X, can the old one be used with a polisher or is it better just by hand?

it was formulated to be used by hand so yes. it is only a hand product but sometimes, we get a little creative, we use it by PC
before u rev em up, shine em up!

To summarize...
The New version can of course be used by hand or PC.
The Old formula was meant for hand use only. However, that didnt stop people from trying it with a PC on their own, and it turns out ok. But applying by machine isnt recomended.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR BlueComment
