I don't soak it. I just put it back into the container. Since it's already wet. After a few mths, when I wanna use it again. Some are still a bit damp. And I just rinse it with water and use it again. But if u drop it onto the floor don't use it lio. It might pick up some larger particals like sand or so. It might scratch ur paint surface.
Also if it's not too dirty, it can still be use. U don't throw it away. Unless it's really dirty or u can feel particals on it. The ones tht are too dirty I still never throw them as I can still use it at the rims or below the back bumper which usually got some tar or dirt. I have been using mine for a year ++ already. No problem. I used to wash it with soap. It gets clean up a bit. But I read in MOL thread some where, they said not too.?
Anyway just ask u? Ur clay bar u bought one is the Pro line or the consumer line one: smooth surface clay kit?

spray some QD in any line (A-line, detailer line, mirror glaze) and put it in the container. . .
before u rev em up, shine em up!
