  • NXT Protectant Q

Im a detailing newbie and a friend of mine introduced me to Megs 3 step system. I immediatly fell in love with the products and the results of my labor! When the Tech Wax came available here a couple months ago I started using it as my third step and recently started using the Quik Detailer after I wash. The black in the paint seems to look deeper and darker each time.

Now my question has to do with the NXT Protectant. I bought a bottle a couple of weeks ago and used it on the inside trim first, I now have several friends using it because they couldnt believe the shine it gave my dash. I used it last weekend on my outside trim, I drive an Xterra so there is alot of dark gray trim on the lower half. I was even more blown away at the results on the outside. (will have to post a before and after pic this weekend after I do it again). It rained a couple of days after I did the outside and noticed that it all washed off, which Im not really suprised at. But Im curious, will the run off from the trim onto the paint hurt my paint? Should I wash it after it rains in case any residue is left on my paint. I routinely wash once a week.

I also want to thank everyone on the forum for all the helpful information because I have learned alot in the last month.

      Hi hatrik3

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

It doesn't rain much here in SoCal but I'll look into the rain/water issue.

As far as the product getting onto the paint, it shouldn't be a problem however.
