  • Single stage Black and White 2-tone...

My car is Black with white stripes. The paint is a single stage, no clear. Is there any possibility of any black pigment transfering over or on the white sections if I use the same PC pad? Do I have to use separate pads for each color?

nope it shoudn't. maybe it could "stain" if you leave any residue from the product you're applying, but once you clean it it should go away.

If you use 3M's perfect it II foam polishing pad glaze, just be sure to use the one for light colored cars, since I once sent an email to them asking the difference between the one for light and dark colored cars, and it's that the black one has a grey pigment which could stain light colors.

    hope this helps.

Thanks, will be using Meguiar's products, #80 and maybe #83.

Like Chex posted, there shouldn't be any problem with staining as long as you're wiping the residue off as you go.
