  • Winter prep

Since winter is upon us, I need to get my Jeep winterized. Besides a good coat of wax, does anyone have else have any good pointers. I'm a neat freak with my vehicle. I absolutely hate when my ride is covered in salt. I usually take it to the coin power wash once a week. Is that suitable?

Apply a good coat of wax prior to the winter and...

The coin op is about all you can do when its too cold to hand wash. If its too cold out to wash my truck in the garage I will head to the coin op, IMO its better than leaving the salt on your vehicle.

As for the interior I like to use those heavy rubber floor mats, you can get them at walmart for $10-$20 for a pair. They hold the snow/sand/salt and water keeping it off your carpet, then you can just 'dump' the grime out of the mats.

Wouldn't a few coats of M21 sealant do better at providing a hard shell to protect your paint against salt???? I would think wax would melt off too quick.
