5" and 6" backing plate
I was wonder what is the usage of 5" and 6" backing plate ? Will it makes any different ? When to use 5" and when to use 6" ? Need advise .. thanks

Re: 5" and 6" backing plate
The 5" backing plate is for our smaller 6" foam pads while the larger backing plate is for our larger 8" foam pads. Using the larger backing plaste with the smaller foam pad will create a danger area because the hard plastic backing plate could come into contact with the paint if you were not careful when machine cleaning and polishing.
Best results and safest working procedures will be experienced when you match the correct backing plate to the appropriate pad.
