  • Which order to use?

    I've just ordered the following:

    Gold Class Car Wax Paste
    Gold Glass Liquid Car Wax
    Deep Crystal Polish
    Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax
    Quick Detailer

The Quick Detailer is to get a quick shine for pictures and so on..
But now I'm actually in a bit of doubts about which order to use the products..
Now u all prob. gonna say why didn't you order the 3 way system?
But I've ordered this ad I can't afford another round (I'm a student) so with these products what order would you use them?
    Which first and why?
Then after that which product and why?
    ..and so on..

Hope some of you could help me a little here..?

    Re: Which order to use?

Did you really order 3 waxes?

For a student on a budget, the best product would be ColorX. You might like to do a little reading up on it, and here it is in action:

1986 Ford Bronco II - Extreme Makeover

ColorX topped with Gold Class would be great for you, but, based on what you have, the order would be:

    1. Wash - I assume you have some soap, etc.

    2. Polish - DC#2.

    3. Wax - 2 coats of wax, probably Gold Class, would be best.

    Give these a read:

    Meguiar's 5-Step Paint Care Cycle

    Step 1 Wash

    Step 2 Clean

    Step 3 Polish

    Step 4 Protect

    Step 5 Maintain

      Re: Which order to use?

GC liquid wax & GC paste wax are the same. . . only different in properties. but pretty much the same. DC#3 is pure canauba wax.
if i hve those 3 wax i would:
      1. wash- ofcourse
      2. clay - to remove contaminants
      3. DC#2 - 2 application to have a rich wet look shine
      4. GC liquid or paste - 2 application
      5. DC#3 - 1 application for better protection
      6. QD - to remove any wax dust (residue)
      7. post and brag your car outside
before u rev em up, shine em up!

My car isn't in bad shape.. I've earlyer used something like ColorX and the color isn't faded and so on so I don't think its necessary to use ColorX.. All I wanted is to get more shine to the finish of the car because the waxes I've used earlier doesn't give me that totally awsome look and shine I'm searching for.. That's why i bought all these waxes..
My cars already on good condition and maintained so I just want a higher shine effect..

so i wanna know in which order to use these products to get the best and shining result...?

I don't have clay and won't invest in it now!
Whats DC#2? Is it Deep Crystal Polish or Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax?
            and whats DC#3?

              Re: Which order to use?

See my post on your other thread. A better shine involves removing surface defects in your paint. You car's paint has defects. You may have to look more closely with a strong light to see them, but they are in your paint.

You need to use clay to clean your paint on your VW Polo. It has contaminents and you cannot just was them off.

You must remove both contaminents and defects to obtain a better shine.

Wax does NOT remove scratches and swirls. You can wax all you want, but your paint will not get more shine.

DC2 is a polish and DC3 is a carnauba wax..

                  Re: Which order to use?

i think maybe u shud get a clay bar or DC1 for cleaning/prepping. DC2 is a pure polish, so as far as ur products are concern, none of them are for the prep/clean stage.
