  • Wash or QD after claying?

Which is better, washing your vehicle or using QDs after claying? I've seen both methods listed here and was wondering the pros/cons of both.

Neither is very important unless the car was in really really bad shape, and even if it is in really really bad shape, it is only optional. You can just wipe down the car as you go with a MF towel to remove excess QD, and then go right to the cleaning step.

I agree, this is what I do.

I really need to start washing after claying. The QD used during claying usually gets on the trim pieces I want to tape off prior to using the G100.

Tape does not stick well to QD'd surfaces.
