I live in Newmarket, just north of Toronto. Yesterday we had a nice sunny day with a temp of about 55. I washed my car (black) and let it dry. I then applied a coat of NXT wax (liquid) and let it dry. I then removed with microfiber towels and was surprised to see water marks. Not just a few but all over the car. I made the assumption that I should have dried the car first then wax. About NXT....it sure is a pleasure to work with. On easy and off real easy once you let it dry.
I was so ticked at myself and it was getting cooler so I tried cleaning then polishing just the hood of the car using the Deep Crystal product. My hood now looks great and I'm hopefully going to put another coat of wax on to-day. (if the weather co-ops).
The reason for the post is really 2 fold 1) as a reminder for people to dry their car before you wax and 2) any suggestions from anyone on what to do next. I won't have the time weather wise to strip it down, but it will wax on for the winter. In the spring I guess start with the clay and work up?
