  • Rainy days care tips

    hey ya'll

well i was wondering if anyone here has any tips or detail routine that works for rainy days/seasons. How about those from Seatle....the east coast.....UK?....and tropical asia.....or anywhere that has a rainy season.....maybe you guys have more experience on it.

i just moved to indonesia and the monsoon season coming, but i still would love to keep the car looking good all the time......if possible.

maybe someone can start a thread on winter care too.....just a thought.

anyway i just bought me some meguiars products to get me started...gonna look forward to the weekend.

If your car is going to be outside a lot, or generaly getting pretty dirty, it is almost better to leave it alone or wash it. Quick detailer sprays can remove light dirt/dust, but if you are outise in the weather, you cna get past the light stuff pretty quickly.

One thing to consider is washing in the rain... you wont get many water marks left, and you dont have to dry....

If I just wash your car and let it sit, I'll end up with water spots left. But if I do it in the rain, I really dont get many left when the rain stops...

          Hey warhorst.
It's rainy season in Malaysia too.
Best thing to do is wash weekly(or more frequent)
And use a one-step cleaner/wax or a paint cleaner and top it off with a durable wax. Rain diminishes a wax's durability fast.

Especially if it is raining almost every day.
Protecting it with at least two coats of wax is ideal for the paint.

          Hope this helps.
