    G'day,
I've got this little book about detailing cars. It was written by Henry Watts from california in 1987 and in it he recommends using maguires formula 40 for vinyl and interior rubber and 42 for exterior plastic and tyres. What's the up to date equivalent of these products? Also what can I put on my engine components to keep them shiny and new ?

Don't forget about #39 "Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner" too. It's really good for those real dirty areas of vinyl and rubber. After I use that, I go over it with Trim Detailer and the results are amazing.
