So, this past summer I ended up with a set of chrome rims on my stang. Now that due to a freak storm there are branches dangling over our driveway threatening to fall any moment, we decided to put the car away a bit early for winter. Any thoughts on chrome rim care for them sitting over winter? Unfortuntely, there is moisture that gets in the garage. I always get a good coat of wax on the paint and put a damp rid in the car to get any moisture that gets into it out of it.

Re: Tucking in the stang for winter-Question
I'd lay down several sheets of 6 mil Visquine on the garage floor to keep moisture from rising up through the concrete. I'd put a battery minder on the battery and cover the car with a soft cover. I'd also add Stabil to the fuel and fill the tank.Jim

electricgreen, I would recommend that you apply a coat of your favorite wax to the wheels as well. Chrome or not, a little protection is always a good thing. Wax them regularly during the summer and brake dust is much easier to remove too.Michael Stoops
