The Meguiar's unit has a "no questions asked" lifetime guarantee. I'm not to sure about the "no questions asked" part, as I have not had to use that yet..Originally posted by williams22

The Meguiar's G-100a Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher comes with a lifetime no questions asked warranty and it also comes with a Meguiar's Velcro Quik Change Backing Plate and one W-8006 foam pad.
I'm pretty sure the one sold at Coataltools comes with a one year warranty and I do believe the backing plate and foam pad are a one piece unit that when worn out gets tossed.

The standard Porter Cable 7424 comes with a 1 piece pad and 5" counterweight. The 7424 kit at Coastal Tool also comes with a 6" hook & loop backing plate and 6" counterweight.
I believe that Meguiar's sells the backing plate by itself.Comment
